SPECIFICATIONS
This TOB-HJ-N210 Prismatic Cell Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector is suitable for the leakage detection of prismatic cell. Manual pick and place material, automatic leakage detection and give the test results, OK no alarm, NG alarm.
The helium inspection tooling is based on the customer's square battery blueprint (148*92*27) as shown in the figure.

Principle
The helium mass spectrometer is a gas tightness testing instrument made of helium as a search gas according to the principle of mass spectrometry. The principle of mass spectrometry is shown in the figure.
The electrons emitted from the filament oscillate back and forth in the ionisation chamber, and collide with the gas in the ionisation chamber and the helium entering the chamber through the leakage holes of the inspected parts to ionise into positive ions, which enter the magnetic field under the action of the accelerating electric field, and then deflect due to the action of the Lorentz force to form an arc-shaped orbit.
The ions of different masses pass through the magnetic field and the receiving slit to the receiving pole and are detected.
Main parts of equipment:
1. Helium mass spectrometry leak detector: testing equipment, including host and mechanical pump two parts.
2. Leak testing tooling: including helium filling mechanism, chamber, shell and so on.
3. Control system: customised control system.
4. Rack: aluminium frame, where the leak detector, control system, leak detection tooling and so on are placed.
Process operation instructions
1) Preparation
Switch on the power switch of the equipment and open the air supply valves of compressed air, nitrogen and helium. When the equipment start-up is complete, adjust the pressure reducing valve pressure to the appropriate value and get ready.
2) Battery placement
Detect the appearance of the battery board flat, no big mistakes, the square battery battery will be placed in the detection of tooling with the shape of the positioning slot, the battery is placed.
3)Start pre-sampling
Press the start button of the leak detector to start the inspection process. The cylinder presses the battery and filling port, at this time, the leakage detection control program receives the start signal and starts the leakage detector's pre-stage pump, when the pressure of the leakage detector port reaches the set value within the set time, the pre-pumping is successful, and enters the next step of the process; if the pressure of the leakage detector port doesn't reach the set value within the set time, it means that the battery isn't well placed, or the battery is placed correctly, but the battery has a big breakage, and at this time, the leakage detector will alarm and prompt the staff. The leak detector will alarm and prompt the staff at this time.
4)Pre-pumping failure
If the pre-sampling fails, the staff can press the stop button to stop the detection, or can be set in the system to stop automatically. After stopping, the staff will check and deal with the situation: if there is damage, the battery is not qualified and will be replaced by a new one; if it is not placed properly, the battery will be placed properly again, and then press the start button to start the testing process.
(5) Evacuation and helium leakage detection
After evacuation, the leak detector continues to evacuate the battery for leakage detection, and the system helium spray valve opens to spray helium 0-3S (helium spray time can be set). At this time, the inside of the square battery is full of helium, when there is a leakage hole in the product, the helium molecules leak into the vacuum cavity through the leakage hole, the leakage detector pumps the vacuum cavity for leakage checking, and passes the test without alarming, but alarms if there is a leakage.
6)Feedback of test result
After the leakage detection is completed, manually press the stop button of the leakage detector (automatic stop can be set), the cylinder rises up, the system opens the blowing valve to blow away the helium residual in the leakage detector base, and at the same time the fan opens to blow away the helium around it, so as to prevent it from influencing the next detection, and then pick up the batteries and classify them into categories for placing.

Inspected battery requirements:
1) The outer surface and interior of the inspected battery should be free of water, oil, other corrosive liquids and gases, metal shavings and other dust.
(2) The embossment caused by the sealing material after contacting the battery shall not be a reason for Party A to reject the acceptance. If there is a requirement for embossing, it should be stated and verified in advance, and the subsequent promotion of the project should be carried out after meeting the requirements.
