The characteristics of the atmosphere furnace is to pass a certain composition of artificially prepared atmosphere into the furnace at a given temperature to achieve certain heat treatment purposes, such as gas carburizing, carbonitriding and bright quenching, annealing, normalizing, etc. Atmosphere furnace mainly has the following characteristics.

Sealing

In order to control the atmosphere inside the furnace, to maintain the pressure inside the furnace, the furnace working space should always be isolated from the outside air, try to avoid leakage and inhalation of air, so the requirements of the furnace shell, masonry, furnace door and all external connecting parts such as fans, thermocouples, radiation tubes, push and pull feeders, etc. using sealing devices; in order to maintain a certain carbon potential inside the furnace, in addition to control the stability of the atmosphere components, but also the atmosphere of the furnace for automatic control . Therefore, a variety of control instruments are needed to continuously or periodically measure the furnace atmosphere and adjust the amount of gas supplied to the furnace.
