Due to the needs of teaching and scientific research, they need to build a cylindrical cell pilot line and a pouch cell pilot line in the laboratory. Our client is IITB. From laboratory research and development to production line production is not a simple amplification. Every mature battery system needs to go through countless verifications. The research and development of batteries also needs to go through the research and development process of laboratories, pilot tests and small batch trial production. The pilot test line refers to the medium-scale production line before the formal mass production, which also has the test function of improving observation. Based on this, the purpose of the customer to establish a battery pilot test line is mainly for the verification of hardware, structure, software, process, testing, materials, quality, etc., and to fully verify the producibility of its batteries. After the delivery of the project, TOB New Energy will send engineers to the factory to complete the commissioning of the equipment. Date: 2019 Location: Europe Clients Requirement Solutions List of Equipment After fully verifying its material system and production process, the customer decided to build a lithium-ion pouch battery production line for its own battery factory. The manufacturing process of the battery can be divided into three links in sequence: the front section, the middle section, and the back section. To put it simply, the first stage is the process of positive and negative electrode production. The middle section is the process of battery production, including five processes including punching, stacking/winding, welding, heat sealing, drying, and electrolyte filling. The core link is the stacking/winding process, which has the highest value in the entire middle process, accounting for about 70%. The latter part is the link of inspection and assembly. This time, the lithium-ion soft-pack battery production line built by Xiamen TOB New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. for customers uses the stacking process. The whole production line completely includes the slurry process, electrode making process, assembly process and chemical formation process of the battery, which can fully meet the daily production needs of customers. A supercapacitor is mainly composed of anode and cathode electrodes, an electrolyte solution, a separator and a current collector, where the separator immersed in the electrolyte keeps the anode and cathode electrodes separated. Supercapacitors store energy based on the charge-discharge process at the electrode/electrolyte interface. Its energy storage principle is the same as that of traditional capacitors, but it is more suitable for rapid release and storage of energy. Compared with traditional capacitors, supercapacitors have a larger effective surface area, which can increase their capacitance by 10,000 times compared with traditional capacitors, while maintaining low equivalent series internal resistance and high specific power. And we will also supply some battery materials such as cathode materials, anlde materials, separator, electrolyte, pouch cell cases, copper foil, aluminum foil, etc. Date: 2018 Location: Sri Lanka Clients Requirement Solutions List of Equipment The customer wants to build a pilot line for lithium-ion pouch cells which is using stacking process technology. The stacking process is a process of cutting the positive and negative plates into the required size, then stacking the positive plate, separator, and negative plate into a small battery cell, and then stacking the small battery cells in parallel to form a battery module. Compared with the winding process, the stacking process has a high capacity density, and the internal space of the lithium battery is fully utilized. Compared with the winding process, the volume specific capacity is higher. Its energy density is high, and its discharge platform and volume specific capacity are higher than those of winding process lithium batteries, so the energy density is correspondingly higher. Its size design is more flexible, and the size of each pole piece can be designed according to the size of the lithium battery, so that the lithium battery can be made into any shape. Since the ultimate goal of customers is to enter the field of power batteries, and large modules and large cells are the future trend, so choosing the lamination process can better take advantage of the advantages of large cells. It has advantages over winding in terms of safety, energy density, and process control.
